Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man

ūüé∂ Clean shirt, new shoes
And I don't know where I am goin' to
Silk suit, black tie,
I don't need a reason why
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man

Gold watch, diamond ring,
I ain't missin' not a single thing
Cufflinks, stick pin,
When I step out I'm gonna do you in
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man¬†ūüé∂

I'm sure that most of us at one time or another have heard this song.  We can recollect a moment back in time where we have felt like a Sharp Dressed Man.  Sharp Dressed Man is such a classic and speaks to the impact your look can have on others.  Some looks stand out and others do not.  Some days you want to stand out and other days you may not.  So, for the days that you want to be that Sharp Dressed Man, let's talk about the 4 accessory pieces that will take you there.

However, before we get to those 4 accessory pieces, we have to set the stage. Ensure you have a clean, crisp shirt, classic set of pants, and a cool pair of dress shoes - because we can't add the accessories without the basics.  These items will set the tone for your accessories, which will ultimately enhance your look.

Ok, now we can move on to the accessories:

1. Tie or Bow Tie - Select a colored tie or bow tie that coordinates with your pants and shirt color.  So, if you pick a white shirt you can pair it with any of the classic color pants (navy, black, gray, tan) and this allows you to choose any type of pattern, plaid, paisley, or solid tie.  The key is to focus on color and reds, blues, purples, pinks, and greens could work with any of the color pants mentioned above. 2. Socks - This is the chance to go bold, but still be coordinated.  Choose two different patterns (from your tie to your sock) that share a common color.  So, for example if you have a blue check pattern tie or bow tie, you can pair that with an argyle or striped sock that contains a color from the tie or bow tie.  Or if you have a red and blue plaid tie, you can pair it with a blue polka-dot sock.  So many options and oh so fun!  Come take a look. https://tieupandsocks.com/collections/socks

3. Tie Clip/Tie Bar - Here is where you want to coordinate the color of your tie clip with the color of your cufflinks.  For example, if you decide to go with a silver Tie Clip, you will want to choose silver cufflinks.  You of course can also go with a color...just make sure that your tie clip color doesn't clash with your tie.  Another important piece to remember is you never want your tie bar to be wider than your tie.  The tie clip will keep your tie straight and keep it connected to your shirt.  Remember that your tie bar should be attached between your 3rd and 4th shirt button.  Utilizing the tie bar really polishes off your look.  See a video at GQ reinforcing the right way to wear a tie bar: https://www.gq.com/story/the-right-way-to-wear-a-tie-bar.

4. Cufflinks -Last but not least...they create the ultimate finished look.  With every movement your arms make, it drives peoples eyes directly to your cufflinks.  As mentioned in #3, you will want to ensure that you are coordinated with your tie bar (silver for both or gold for both).  With cufflinks you can add additional color.  Just ensure that the color you are adding ties into a color from your tie or bow tie and your socks. https://tieupandsocks.com/collections/cufflinks.

We have pulled together some arrangements (images below) that incorporate all 4 components to help you achieve your look.

Are you feeling ready to join the group of Sharp Dressed Men?
